CAE Global Academy Évora offers new Multi-Crew Co-Operation (MCC) course in February

CAE Global Academy Évora will start a new Multi-Crew Co-Operation (MCC) course for the Super King Air B-200 this February.

Theoretical instruction will take place from the 1st to 3rd February and the flight instruction portion of training will take place from 6th to 10th February.

CGA Brussels is organizing a Winter Physics Refresher course

We are organizing a Winter Course of physics refresher from Monday  20 February 2012 to Friday 24 February 2012 from 08h30 to 12h30 for 150 €. Limited space. CAE Global Academy Évora celebrates 10^TH Anniversary

In 2001 CAE Global Academy Évora (CGAEV) started its activity as a certified Flying Training Organization (FTO) and on 10th September opened the first ATP(A) I Course. The class had ten Portuguese students that nowadays are successful pilots in airlines such as TAP Portugal and SATA.

After 10 years, hundreds of Portuguese and foreign pilots graduated here at CGAEV and are now placed in airlines around the world such as Ryanair, Air Asia, Lionair, Air Mavia, Air Macau, Azul, Portugália, EuroAtlantic Airways, Hi Fly among others.

CAE Global Academy Évora holds its first Open Day

On July 27, CAE Global Academy Évora organized its first Open Day which brought out 30 very interested participants. The full day event included several activities such as an aeronautical proficiency test in flight simulator, a guided tour of our facilities, aircraft static exhibition and flight baptisms to name but a few. Due to the success of the event and positive feedback we received, we will be holding more Open Days over the next few months. Watch our calendar of events for upcoming dates!

CAE Global Academy Évora 2010 Graduation Ceremony

Congratulations to our graduates! On July 1, the 8th CAE Global Academy Évora Graduation and Wings Ceremony 2010 took place at our academy. 45 cadets from our ATPL course successfully completed their training and received their wings! The ceremony brought together all the graduates and their families and friends. We wish our cadets a bright and successful future as they begin their pilot careers!

CAE Global Academy to train EIAB and Omni Aviation pilots

CAE Global Academy signs contacts with European Institute of Aviation and Business GmbH (EIAB) of Germany and Omni Aviation Training Center of Portugal to train their ab initio pilot cadets. The EIAB self-sponsored ab initio pilot cadets will do the training as part of their Bachelor of Aviation degree program. The Omni ab initio pilot cadets will train in Visual Flight Rules (VFR). The 30 plus cadets from the two flight training organizations (FTOs) will train annually at CAE Global Academy Phoenix in Mesa, Arizona, USA, where they will join hundreds of other students who are training to become airline pilots.

CAE Multi-crew Pilot License (MPL) cadets start Advanced training phase of program bring them one step closer to graduation.

The 12 AirAsia cadets in CAE's MPL beta program class have successfully completed the third of four program phases and are on track for a May graduation. All cadets have passed three formal evaluations - an equivalent private pilot check ride, an equivalent instrument check ride, and an equivalent Beechjet type rating. Phase IV - Advanced of the program is being conducted at CAE Training and Services Toronto, Canada. Upon graduation the cadets will join AirAsia's initial operating experience program for Airbus A320 First Officers.

CAE Global Academy, Phoenix welcomes 40 students from Vietnam Airlines

The first group of 40 students from Vietnam Airlines has arrived at CAE Global Academy Phoenix to begin their 72-week Airline Transport Pilot-Airplane Integrated Pilot Training course. They join more than 150 students already training at the Academy - adding to the multicultural and diverse student body.

The students have already started their AELT (Aviation English Language training) classes and will begin ground school training by early November.

First CAE MPL cadets complete Core and Basic phases

CAE today announced at the Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS) that the 12 AirAsia cadets in CAE's Multi-crew Pilot License (MPL) beta program class have successfully completed the Core and Basic phases of the program at CAE Global Academy member Moncton Flight College (MFC) in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada.

CAE expands CAE Global Academy with joint venture acquisition of China Southern Airlines pilot training school in Australia

CAE announced today that it has acquired an equity interest in the China Southern West Australian Flying College (CSWAFC) near Perth, Australia and will manage the pilot training school as part of the CAE Global Academy network. Effective immediately, CSWAFC will operate as a joint venture owned 53 per cent by China Southern Airlines and 47 per cent by CAE.

CAE to launch Multi-crew Pilot License (MPL) beta program with AirAsia using new performance-based requirements

CAE today announced at the Singapore Airshow 2010 that it has signed a contract with AirAsia to train student cadets for the airline in a beta program designed to International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards for the Multi-crew Pilot License (MPL). The CAE program is the first application of an MPL program that will adhere to new performance-based Approved Training Organization (ATO) certification requirements developed by Transport Canada.
